Virtual Type Rating

The UK's only Virtual Type Rating using a Full-Motion 737NG Simulator

[COMING SOON]

Don't settle for fixed-base. Fly full-motion.

Whether you are curious about big-jet flying, an avid flight simmer, or even aiming for a future ATPL and airline pilot career, this is where is gets real.

In our full-motion, 6DOF Boeing 737-800NG simulator, you will learn to brief, set up, operate and fly this complex jet, using the same flows, callouts and style that airline crews use every day.

The JetEx Boeing 737 isn't just another fixed-base session.

Our simulator delivers the cues and handling 'feel' that pilots expect from professional airline training devices, so you are practicing in an environment that feels very close to what real crews are assessed in, and operate every day.

We coach you step-by-step, with zero pressure, around a structure that works for you.

Features of Our Flight Simulator

6-Axis Motion Platform

Airline pilots train with motion because it teaches you truly how the aircraft feels during each phase of flight. That's why your Virtual Type Rating runs on our full-motion platform, rather than a static platform, and why should you settle for less?

Expert Tuition

Fully instructor-led, we will coach you step-by-step, no prior experience required. We match your pace and goals and teach real scenarios to generate real confidence, whether you step into an airline career or want to level up your home sim activities.

Pilot Pool

Upon successful completion of your course, you will be invited to the JET-EX pilot pool, where you can take advantage of lower hourly rates, personal sim hire with or without an instructor, and interact or fly with other members of our pilot pool.

Ready to fly?

We offer a whole range of flight simulator experiences that everyone can enjoy, whether you're a complete flying novice or an experienced pilot looking to get familiar with the 737.

Course Outline

Aircraft Basics

You'll learn how to start-up and set-up the 737 from cold and dark, taxi the aircraft, learn power settings, take-off and then get to grips with handling the jet, culminating in some approach and landing practice to refine your skills.

Advanced Flying

You'll learn instrument flying, how to fly the jet in poor conditions, set up and track VOR/NDB beacons, execute and fly a perfect ILS approach, learn how to fly RNAV approaches and learn how to set the jet up for a full CAT III autoland.

Multi-Crew Operation

You'll further build upon what you previously learned and what airlines expect when you enter the cockpit with another pilot. You'll learn the roles of Pilot Flying (PF) or Pilot Monitoring (PM) and then fly your first sector from gate to gate.

Systems and Failures

You'll learn the aircrafts practical systems such as the electric system, pneumatic system, hydraulics, pressurisation, anti-ice, and all the other important components of a commercial flight. You'll also learn how to handle non-normal items, like rejected take-off, engine fires, windshear and more.

Mock Test

The course climaxes with a simulated and supervised gate-to-gate sector, containing a realistic brief, setup, departure, cruise and arrival. This sector will contain at least one operational curveball, from engine fire to last minute runway change. The mock test is run by a current 737 Type Rating instructor.

Course Completion and Invitation to Pilot Pool

Upon completing our Virtual Type Rating, you will receive a certificate and an invitation to our virtual Pilot Pool, where you can take advantage of cheaper simulator time, interact with other 'rated' pilots, and hire the simulator for solo / self-hire time.
