Harrier Fighter Jet Experience

Take the controls of the only Harrier "Jump Jet" simulator in the world.
This is not a mock-up or reproduction.
Our Harrier GR9 simulator puts you in the cockpit of a genuine ex-RAF Harrier Training Device, you'll strap into a real ejector seat, put your hands on the real controls, for the kind of fast-jet experience previously only reserved for RAF pilots.

Harrier Simulator Key Features
Unique G-Seat Haptic System

Originally built for the RAF, and modified by JetEx, the "G-Seat" in our simulator can simulate forces you'd expect to find when flying a fast-jet.
Dynamic Control Loading

Dynamic force feedback in the flight controls mean you get to feel exactly how the real aircraft would respond, whatever the flying conditions.
High Fidelity Upgraded Visuals

Our upgraded visual system provides extreme realism, utilising current and real satellite imagery to immerse every pilot.
Each of these elements is just a small part of what has transformed the original RAF training device into an intensely immersive fast-jet experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it difficult to fly ?
The Harrier is famously demanding to fly, with handling characteristics that tested even experienced pilots. During your session, our instructors will guide you every step of the way – and if you do end up in the ground, it’s just a quick reset and you’re straight back into the air.
Can I share the experience with friends or family?
Yes! Friends and family are able to observe your session from outside the simulator in a dedicated viewing area beside the instructor console.
Will I have control of the simulator for all of my flight?
Yes! With verbal assistance from one of our pilot instructors, you'll have control of the sim for your entire flight.
Was this sim used to train pilots?
Yes, this is a full mission simulator that was used to train RAF Harrier crew until 2010, so it's extremely realistic, contains genuine parts of REAL Harriers, and great fun too!
Is the Harrier simultor a motion sim like the 737?
No, due to the nature of the simulator, the Harrier is a fixed base simulator that utilises very effective vibration effects and powerful force feedback controls instead, as well as the fantastic "G-Seat".
What happens during my flight?
There’s almost no limit to what you can do in your Harrier sortie – carrier take-offs and landings, low-level airfield circuits, bad weather, even dogfighting – all in complete safety. Tell us what you’d like to try and we’ll tailor your mission so you get the maximum out of your time in the simulator.
