Fear of Flying Course

If flying makes you anxious, you are not alone. Our one to one Fear of Flying course is designed to help you feel calmer, better informed and more in control, in a safe supportive environment.

You will spend around two hours with an experienced commercial pilot, including time in our full motion Boeing 737 simulator. Everything is done at your pace, with plenty of time to ask questions and talk through the parts of flying that worry you most.

A full motion simulator like ours is especially helpful for fear of flying because it lets you experience the physical sensations of flight while staying safely on the ground. That means we can explain what is happening, as it happens, and even pause the simulation - helping you build confidence in a calm, controlled setting.

During the first take off I felt the familiar fear, but JetEx helped that quickly pass. By the end, I felt excited rather than terrified about flying. I’d recommend this to any nervous flyer.

I've just got back from Croatia....my first flights since doing your course. I had planned to do just a quick overnight to Ireland initially but then decided to be a little more ambitious so booked a few days in Pula.

Extremely anxious in the airport waiting for the outward flight but, as Mats suggested, I asked to speak to the pilots when I boarded. They were great.

And when we started down the runway for take-off, I realised I was enjoying it. It was fun! This is huge. I've always been terrified. I had also booked a window seat instead of the usual aisle seat so I could watch us leave the ground instead of having my eyes closed, gripping the arm rests. During landing I realised my companion was nervous so I was reassuring her!

The airport experience on the return journey was very different....barely any anxiety. The flight was ok too - even the breezy landing (I was calmly prepared for a go around).

I'm now planning another flight soon and actually looking forward to it. I'll still experience some nervousness, I think, but the difference is massive.

Thank you so much!

What We Can Help You Understand

A fear of flying is often tied to a few specific worries rather than flying as a whole. During your session, we can talk through the parts of air travel that make you most anxious, explain what is happening, and help you feel more comfortable in a safe, ground-based environment.

Turbulence

Turbulence is the most common concern for nervous flyers. First, we explain what turbulence is and why it happens, then during your session you can experience turbulence from light to heavy, allowing you get comfortable with this normal aircraft movement, so when you experience it for real, it feels less unknown and less overwhelming.

Aircraft noises and sensations

Airliners make plenty of sounds and movements that can feel unsettling if you do not know what they mean. Your instructor can talk you through the noises, changes in engine power, flap movement and other normal parts of flight so they feel more familiar.

Take-off and Landing

For many people, take-off and landing are the most stressful parts of a journey. In the simulator, we can show you what the aircraft is doing at each stage and explain the process clearly, calmly and at your pace.

Making Sense of the Flight

A big part of a fear of flying is not knowing what is happening or why. Our one to one course gives you time to ask questions, understand more about how the aircraft works, and build confidence with an experienced commercial pilot beside you.

By the end of the session, many guests feel that flying makes a lot more sense, and that alone can make it feel far less daunting. The aim is not to rush you, but to give you a calmer, clearer understanding of flying.
